USA vs AlArian

It’s my honor to invite you to the Washington film premier screening of USA vs Al-Arian on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 7:00PM at the Lowes Uptown Theatre, 3426 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC.

This award-winning Norwegian film directed by Line Halvorsen tells the story of the gross miscarriage of justice against Dr. Sami Al-Arian, and American university professor and Palestinian activist. It depicts his lengthy incarceration without trial, the eventual trial and the refusal of the US government to set him free after a Florida jury didn’t find him guilty of any of the multiple charges the government had levied against him. The film also shows the human ordeal and hardship that Dr. Al-Arian and his family endured in their quest for justice.

USA vs Al-Arian is truly a must see film about the misguided war on terror and American justice in the post-9/11 era. It’s a case that MAS Freedom has championed since its very beginning. Upon the conclusion of the films, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Amy Goodman, the syndicated radio host of Democracy Now! The panel will consist of legal experts, family members, jurors and the film’s directors.

Again, it would be an honor to have you and your family at this premier. We also encourage you to invite your colleagues and friends to attend this event. Please call at 703-998-6525 or for your ticket purchase or at Dar Al-Hijrah 703-536-1030
