Sitting at The Nile With an Eye on the Potomac

While I am in Egypt now overlooking the pyramids and fighting for the cause of social justice for some of our Muslim brothers here, I am an American, and news from home has reached me via the wonders of global communications.

 

In my home state of Virginia, a state that was the capitol of the confederacy and a bastion of Jim Crow, Barack Obama won the Virginia Primary while capturing Washington, DC and Maryland in the Potomac Primaries.

 

This is truly a time of “change” in America and there are many things that need to be changed. However, I for one, am eager to find out just what kind of “changes” are proposed.

 

If these are positive changes, changes that will restore justice to those who have been denied it, then all people of good faith can support this, and if it is not…
