Executive Director to Address Thousands Urging Congress to Pass Health Care Reform

WASHINGTON, DC (MASNET) Sept. 2, 2009 – In conjunction with its 12-Point 2008-2012 Legislative Agenda and position in support of health care reform, MAS Freedom (MASF) as the civic and human rights advocacy entity of the Muslim American Society (MAS) will join activists and voters throughout the greater Washington metropolitan area in the candle light vigil to take place on Capitol Hill tonight at 7:30PM, organized to make sure that returning members of Congress know – when it comes to health care, “We Can’t Afford to Wait”.

MAS Freedom Executive Director, Mahdi Bray will lend his voice to the nearly 2,000 pre-registered participants already lined up to attend tonight’s event. There is still room for 1,000 additional vigil attendees! Register online here.

“We need to make sure Congress knows that an overwhelming majority of voters are counting on them to pass health care reform,” stated Bray.
