Contact the Pentagon and Demand that Rev. Franklin Graham Be Dis-Invited to May 6th National Day of Prayer

A National Day of Prayer with Rev. Franklin “Islam is Evil” Graham? Give me a break. Check out the piece below. Btw, Judge Crabb of the US District Court of Wisconsin ruled that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional.

Quote of Day: “In a nation where unemployment is rampant,  schools are crumbling, people are losing their homes, and in the inner city poor are invisible, why do we continue to spend billion upon billions of dollars on death and destruction dropping smart on dumb missions?”

Contact the Pentagon and Demand that Rev. Franklin Graham Be Dis-Invited to May 6th National Day of Prayer

On May 6th, 2010, the Pentagon will host a National Day of Prayer.  Among the prominent Christian members invited to participate is the Reverend Franklin Graham.

Rev. Graham has publicly stated his belief that Islam is a “very evil and a wicked religion”, along with other hurtful and disparaging remarks he has made about Muslims.  His invitation to speak at a Pentagon prayer event would be an insult not only to Muslims who honorably serve in the military, but also many Christians and individuals of other religious persuasions as well.

We object to the bigoted and anti-Islamic words of Reverend Graham, and we believe that his presence on such a large national stage would do serious damage to this nation, and to our efforts to build religious tolerance and mutual understanding.

We ask that you communicate with the Department of Defense and voice your objection to Reverend Franklin Graham’s invitation to speak at the National Day of Prayer.

Please communicate this message to:

Dr. Robert Gates

United States Secretary of Defense

1400 Defense Pentagon

Washington, D.C. 20301-1400

Telephone: (703) 545-6700
